Plan to remove a pine tree and its stump due to its lean and damage from a storm, and to crown lift two Norway Maples for better light access, under TPO 409W.
Works To Trees Covered By A TPO
30, Moseley Road, Cheadle Hulme, Cheadle, SK8 5HJ
SK8 5HJFull Proposal
T1 - Pine. Fell to ground level and remove stump. This relatively young pine tree has grown with a significant lean away from the canopy of the larger trees behind, meaning it is weighted entirely over the driveway of the applicant. It drops large volumes of needles over the cars beneath throughout the year, which is a significant inconvenience for them. During the recent Storm Amy, the tree was damaged by a large falling limb from the ash trees behind, whilst the damage is not likely to cause a structural failure, the tree is now entirely weighted in the direction of its lean, with no branches on the rear of the stem to counterbalance it. It is also showing some signs of dying back in the main leader at the top of the canopy. Given the proximity of the tree to the property and the vehicles routinely parked on the driveway, it is our opinion that the removal of the tree would be justified. T2 & T3 - Norway Maples. Crown lift to provide approx 3m clearance above driveway and pavement. This work is intended to allow more light into the front of the applicants property, without stimulating vighorous regrowth within the canopy, or adversely affecting the overall appearance of the two roadside trees. TPO 409W.
