Full Proposal

The tree is dropping a large number of acorns which create a serious trip hazard, making it unsafe for me. My husband, Rahat Bashir, is disabled due to Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy and also lives with Type 2 Diabetes and heart conditions. He is especially vulnerable, as even stepping on a single acorn could cause him to fall. If he were to fall, it would be extremely hazardous, as he is very fragile and would likely suffer serious injury. In addition, the tree is dropping acorns onto the public footpath, creating a trip hazard for passers-by. There are also schools nearby, and many schoolchildren walk past on a daily basis, which puts them at risk as well. On top of these safety concerns, the tree itself is in poor condition and poses a risk of damaging cars parked nearby. I am personally unable to park my own cars in my driveway directly under the tree, as there is a real danger of damage from falling branches or debris. Another concern is that the tree attracts large numbers of birds, which leave droppings all over my driveway and vehicles. This not only causes damage but also increases the risk of disease, which is particularly dangerous for me due to my low immunity and vulnerability to infections. Furthermore, the tree has a noticeable lean toward my property and could fall at any time, which presents a serious risk of damage to my home and possessions. The tree is clearly near the end of its life and has become unsafe. For these reasons, I am requesting that the tree be felled as a magtter of urgencey. TPO 7W.
