Plan to cut down two conifer trees that are not protected by a TPO. The first conifer is over 20ft tall, located in the front garden, and is dying. The second conifer is also over 20ft tall, located at the side of the house, and is blocking light.

Full Proposal

We have 2 trees we wish to cut down completely. They do not have a TPO as they are conifers. 1. Conifer 1:This is a very tall conifer (over 20ft) in the middle of the front garden. It has signs of dying with several brown branches. This conifer is very close to the overhead telephone wires. The conifer has grown too tall and is too wide - taking up a large part of the front garden which we would like to grass properly to help with drainage to the street. 2. Conifer 2. This conifer is at the side of the house leading to the back garden. Again, over the 20 years we have been here, it has grown too tall (over 20 ft) and too wide and causing light to block. The conifer fills the space and nothing else can grow. It is positioned in an inappropriate place at the side of the house which is now too close. We plan to plant a rhododendrum in the bed instead. We have had 2 tree surgeons to look at the conifers. They agree they are a nuisance and identified conifer 1 is showing signs of now dying. HAR/CA15, TPO 19N.
