Plan to reduce the height of a Silver Birch by 2.5 metres and prune lateral limbs to shape. Also, reduce the height of a group of three Lime trees by approximately 5 metres and prune the upper parts to shape. This is to manage tree size, improve light to the property, and reduce risk to the unique architectural property. TPO 116W.

Full Proposal

T1. Silver Birch ? Reduce in height by 2.5 metres ( to the point of the previous reduction) Pruning lateral limbs to shape. REASON: To control size and repeat cyclical pruning that has previously been undertaken. G2. 3x Lime Group ? Reduce the 3 trees in height by approximately 5 metres and prune the upper ?shoulders? of the tree to shape. REASON: To manage the size of the trees whilst improving the light to the property, due to concerns over the height and stability of the trees. The property is also of a very unique architectural nature and if any of the trees were to suffer any significant failure they would be likely to impact the property. Repairs to the property would be very difficult if not impossible to carry out. So Mr Ratcliffe is very keen to reduce the risk of this happening whilst maintaining the tree cover around the site.
